Each year the citizens of Redlands band together to celebrated Independence Day in grand fashion. The 4th of July Committee works tirelessly throughout the year to plan a fun filled day for the entire family. The day begins with a picnic at beautiful Sylvan Park: Food; Games; Music!

Official T-Shirts: Friday June 15^th official T-shirts will be on sale for $15.00 at the Redlands City Clerk’s Office. The shirt will also be sold at the committee booth in Sylvan Park on the 4^th. The 2007 shirt will feature the historic University of Redlands Administration Building from the “Party of the Century” fireworks show on October 21, 2006 and the front of the shirt features a stylized U of R Centennial/4^th of July logo.

Park Activities: More then 50 local service and civic clubs will participate in daytime activities between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., in Sylvan Park - Section A on University Street near the University of Redlands. At 4 pm 4th of July Parade will march around the park.

Stadium: Once again the University of Redlands plays host to one of the largest 4^th of July celebrations in the State of California . The gates at the U of R Stadium will open by 6 p.m. The live show and opening ceremonies will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will include a flag ceremony and a four jet flyover followed by a USAF C-17 flyover. After the flyover, skydivers from Perris Valley Skydiving will be landing in the center of the stadium. A concert by the Redlands 4^th of July Band followed by Redlands own fabulous “Tornados” with an old time rock and roll show. Fireworks presented by Pyro Spectaculars will begin at approximately 9 p.m. under the direction of Jeff Martin.
